Founding Pastor of Bridgeport Apostolic Church 
 
I was raised in an Episcopal Church.  After joining the army in 1957 I became interested in more of God and began to listen to the witnessing of an army buddy.  I received the Holy Ghost in an army barracks in Nuremburg, Germany.  After finishing my tour of duty I came home to Albany, New York.  In 1961 I was introduced to baptism in Jesus Name and I was baptized.  I became a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church pastored by S.R. Hanby.  Feeling a call to start a church my pastor encouraged me to go to Troy, NY.  It was in Troy where we began our first Home Missions church. 

I have over 37 years experience pastoring.  I have been a student of the Bible for 49 years and I have continuously taken courses to further my knowledge.  I have taken Excell Bible School courses and Apostolic Leadership Bible training sponsored by the CT District.

During my time as pastor in CT I took a Clinical Pastoral Education course with Bridgeport Hospital.  I became a certified CPE counselor.  

My experience on the District level is as follows:

My wife and I have a good and happy marriage of 45 years.  Two wonderful children and their spouses and five grandchildren. 

I received the Holy Ghost when I was 10 years old.  My mother and 6 children came into the church after being witnessed to.  My father never came into the church.  We were faithful members of an Apostolic Pentecostal church always.
When I was 19 years old I attended Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota.  I attended 3 years and graduated from there.  I came home to Connecticut after leaving St. Paul.  In 1964 I attended camp in East Berne, NY it was there that I met my husband David.  After a very short engagement (3 months) we were married.  It has been a wonderful marriage of 45 years. 
In 1966 we started our first Home Missions church in Troy, NY. at the time I was pregnant for my second child and I had a small baby. God did a wonderful work in this city.  After 7 years we left to start our second home missions church in Poughkeepsie, NY.  God also did a great work here. 

After 4 years we felt to stop pastoring for a time due to some financial burdens and 2 teenagers that needed more of our attention.  We moved to West Haven, CT and assisted Bro. Allan Ellis in his church.  This was one of the best things we ever did for our family.  After 6 years and much healing we were ready to pastor again.  We started another Home Missions church in Bridgeport, CT.  This has been a very rewarding and blessed time in our lives.  We have been in Bridgeport for 26 years and the church is a well established lighthouse in an urban city. 
 
My duties in the church are very varied.  I am a pastors wife who is very involved, I teach an adult Bible Class on Wed. nights.  I am Sunday School Superintendent and I am involved with counseling along with my husband. 

One note of interest God has blessed us to have our children and their families living close to us.  My daughter and her family attend our church.  My son and his family are close to us but they attend another Church.
