Born in California and raised in Africa as the son of UPCI missionaries, Rev. Brian A. Allard’s life has been one of adventure. In 1976, Rev. Allard obtained ministerial license with the United Pentecostal Church International and served as a missionary in Senegal, West Africa. Following his time spent in Africa, Rev. Allard joined the pastoral staff of Apostolic Gospel Church of Delano, California in February 1982 and became senior pastor in April 1994.
In addition to pastoring, he also serves as a P.O.S.T. certified chaplain for the Kern County Sheriff’s Department, Delano Police Department, and the UPCI. His chaplain duties with Delano Police Department also include juvenile diversion/intervention. Rev. Allard is a graduate of Cal State University Bakersfield where he pursued studies in Psychology. Along with these studies, he has attended multiple classes and received certificates for classes such as Resource and Search Management for Victims of Stranger Abductions, Teen Suicide Intervention, Individual and Group Debriefing, completed F.E.M.A. Independent Study Program through the Emergency Management Institute, and has also obtained license with ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) and responds to national and international crisis as a counselor.
Rev. Allard married his long-time sweetheart, Jana, in 1979. Along with her duties as pastor’s wife, she is a recording artist, inspirational speaker, music director for Apostolic Gospel Church, Western District Ladies Conference Coordinator, Section Two Ladies Director of WDUPC and has served as an advisory to www.myhoperadio.com. The Allard’s have three children, Bryce, Blake, and Bryn-Anika, a daughter-in-law Ashlee, and a cute doggy named Sparkles.
